Once your Mediterranean cruise ship arrives in the city of your choice, you will be amazed how beautiful it is; you will want to start touring right way, but before you do, you must make a plan. If everyone wants to tour alone, you should defiantly choose Florence because it is much smaller and compact. If you or someone in your family knows the language well, ask someone from the city about the locations of the famous sites. The locals are happy to help tourists, so if your family is touring alone, do not hesitate to ask for help. If you hire a guide, you will get to see a lot more because the guide knows how to find the main sites quicker, so you if only have a few hours to sightsee, hire a tour guide.

Sightseeing is important because you get to learn the area, so make sure you bring a camera, preferably a digital camera, because it can take more pictures. If you want to see as much as possible, you will not have time to sit and eat; this is why many tourists like to eat on the run. When you finish sightseeing, you can stop at a nearby store to buy some souvenirs to remind you of the great time you had. Do not try to visit every site during your first trip, save something for the next time you return, because you will defiantly want to take another Mediterranean cruise to Florence or Rome again.
